HOLY COMMUNION OR THE HOLY EUCHARIST OF THE CATHOLICCHURCH

HOLY EUCHARIST: Holy Eucharist is the true body and blood of Jesus Christ together with the soul and divinity under the appearance of bread and wine. We are Christians are meant to understand that the holy Eucharist received by catholic today are not just ordinary bread or wine as the Eucharist is the true body and blood of Jesus Christ, these can be seen at the last supper when he took the bread , broke it and gave said to his disciples “This is my body, take it and eat it” these also apply to his blood, when he took the wine and gave it to his disciple saying “This is my blood take it and drink” and he further continued “Do this in REMEMBRANCE of me”. From the word remembrance, it has to do with continuous action, this is a new covenant which must not be stopped, whenever we receive the holy Eucharist, we are truly receiving the body and blood of Our lord Jesus Christ whose body was pierced and blood gushed forth, we feel so sorry for our sins that is why the Catholics are encouraged that whenever they are receiving the body and blood of Jesus Christ such person must be in the state of Grace. There are graces attached whenever we receive the body and blood of Jesus Christ in state of grace. Whenever we receive the holy communion, we should remember that we must receive him with a pure heart, I mean in state of grace because Christ does not dwell in any here that is dirty (unholy), Whenever we receive the holy Eucharist our both hands must be in reverend and we must always try to receive him with joy in our heart, we have it in the back of our mind that when we receive the “bread”, we receive the BODY of Christ and if we drink the wine, we drink his “blood”. “Take this Bread and eat it, this is my body which will be given unto you, Take my wine and drink, this is the blood of the New Testament which will be given unto you”. These were the Words of Jesus Christ during the LAST SUPPER.
